Mitri Raheb's  The Politics of Persecution offers a trove of information and analysis for any Christians fascinated by the Holy Land and its neighbors. In The Politics of Persecution, Mitri Raheb persuasively demonstrates how the language of 'persecution' has been selectively employed over the past century by Western imperial powers to justify both colonial interventions in the 19th and 20th centuries and contemporary incursions here in the 21st in the MENA region. Raheb touches upon a critical theme in the geopolitics of the Middle East: the persecution of Christians.
